Applying to the Graduate School
Welcome, as a prospective graduate student! There are two ways to apply for admission to the UConn Graduate School:
A very convenient Online Application — Highly Preferred
Applying online will save you money ($55 vs. $75), will allow you to pay by credit card, and will provide a more rapid delivery of your application materials to the admissions committee. It is also much more convenient and fully secure. Click on the link above to see how easy it is!
A less convenient and more expensive Paper Application
The fee for applying by mail is $75. You can use the paper application by downloading the online PDF form and completing it. To access the PDF application, you will need to have a copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Before applying, please review the information provided in the following links, which will help you to decide if UConn is a good match for you:
- Degree Programs - a complete listing of the graduate fields of study available at UConn, along with contacts for any further information
- Deadlines - The general guideline for Fall submission is February 1 and for Spring submission is November 1. Please check with your intended program, since many of them have more stringent deadlines and policies.
- If you are applying for the professional programs in Law (JD), Medicine (MD), Dental Medicine (DMD), or Professional Pharmacy (PharmD), please contact those programs directly. They have separate application procedures.
