Graduate Faculty Council Meeting Minutes: March 28, 2001

1. The meeting was called to order at 3:08 P.M. Interim Vice Provost Ian C. Hart presided.
   
   
2. The minutes of the 2-28-2001 meeting were considered. It was noted that the word introduced in the first line of item 5 was misspelled. It was moved, seconded, and passed without dissent on a voice vote to approve the minutes of the meeting of 2-28-2001with the noted correction.
   
   
3. I. Hart asked members if any agenda items or speakers should be considered for future meetings. R. Ratneshwar recommended that some time be devoted to demonstration and discussion of selected graduate-degree-program Web pages.
   
   
4. I. Hart introduced Associate Vice Provost J. Henkel who gave a PowerPoint presentation concerning the new PeopleSoft student records software. The Graduate School will be the first unit on campus to use the new software beginning in early May 2001. A copy the presentation is attached to the file copy of these minutes.
   
   
5. Adjournment was at 4:35 P.M.
