Timely Topics Series
Timely Topics is a series of opportunities to engage with subject matter experts on topics relevant to those who support and advise graduate students and programs.
Every session is available to all UConn faculty and staff and provides information and tools that will help you best support your students and program.
Topics have included advising and mentoring; GAs and TAs; admissions and recruitment, and managing your graduate program.

GradSlate
The Graduate School offers demos and training on its online application and CRM system (Slate).
- Requesting Access to GradSlate
- GradSlate User Portal - One-stop landing page to access different resources within the Slate application system. Includes training documentation about all aspects of the Slate application system for users, online request forms for programs to make changes to program requirements, contact information, and CRM support within Slate. Also Includes access to Slate Manage and The Reader.
- GradSlate Training Sessions - GradSlate Sessions are a series of in-depth presentations and demos focused on The Graduate School’s online application and CRM system, Slate. These sessions are appropriate for faculty and staff involved in recruitment and admissions to UConn graduate programs. (login required)

Edward C. Marth Mentorship Award
This award recognizes UConn Graduate Faculty members who have extraordinary records of excellence and effectiveness in activities such as facilitating smooth transitions for both entering and exiting graduate students; showing sensitivity to students’ academic, personal, and professional goals and needs; being accessible to students; playing an active role in coaching graduate students through the graduate school experience and connecting them to appropriate intellectual and professional networks; and, guiding graduate students toward intellectual and professional independence.

NCFDD Institutional Membership offers relevant professional development training, intense and reliable support from highly-trained and successful mentors, a confidential “safe space” for problem-solving and peer-mentoring, and a convenient virtual format so you can learn at your own convenience.

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) exists to support UConn faculty and teaching assistants in becoming more effective teachers, to promote equity-minded and inclusive practices that improve learning outcomes for every UConn student, and to help faculty effectively incorporate pedagogical technology into their teaching.
