Letter From The Dean
Graduate students and postdocs are the vital core of any great research university, and The Graduate School is the home of graduate and postdoctoral education at UConn. We work with academic programs and with offices throughout the University to help you develop and share in a rich environment of social, cultural, professional, and academic success. We work closely with the Center for Career Development to provide workshops and training on career and professional development, we offer workshops on communicating your work with the general public, and we provide an independent source of advice when you encounter questions that you can’t answer on your own. We work closely with the Graduate Student Senate, the Graduate Students of Color Association, and the Postdoc Association to enrich the community of scholars and to strengthen friendships and professional interactions across disciplinary boundaries.
The University of Connecticut provides a rich, welcoming environment for graduate study, and we remain committed to the progress and well-being of all our students. Should you consider applying to the University of Connecticut for graduate work, please explore Information for Prospective Students. If you’ve just been accepted, you’ll want to look at our Information for New Students. If you’re already here, we are delighted that you’re here, and we hope that you’ll find the resources on our Information for Current Students page.
Whatever your reason for visiting our website, I hope you’ll find what you’re looking for. If you don’t, please visit our Contact Us page to find the appropriate staff member to best assist you.
